The Social Media and Marketing Intern makes the content that puts Ajaia and our products in front of people. You will cut short-form video, design graphics for Instagram and LinkedIn, write captions and posts that sound like a person wrote them, and help run a calendar that ships every week.
This is a real seat, not a shadowing program. Your work goes out under our name. You will be given source material and a point of view, and you will be expected to come back with something we can publish.
We care more about taste than credentials. You do not need a portfolio, a marketing major, or an internship on your resume. If you have grown an account, cut videos people actually finished, designed something that made someone stop scrolling, or written a post that got argued with in the comments, show us. If you have not done any of that yet and you still think you can do this work, the assessment is where you prove it. Any major, any year.
How we work with AI. Ajaia is an AI company, and this is the seat where that shows in public. You will use AI daily to draft, storyboard, generate, edit, and iterate. You will be judged on what you keep, not on how much you generate. We do not want work that looks AI-made. We want work where AI made you three times faster and every judgment call was yours.
What you will work on
- Cut short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and X from long-form source material: recorded talks, webinars, podcast episodes, product demos, and client-facing sessions
- Design graphics, carousels, and story frames for the Ajaia Instagram and our product accounts
- Write platform-native captions and posts, one idea rendered correctly for each channel rather than one message reposted four times
- Help build and hold the weekly content calendar, and keep it shipping
- Build repeatable AI-assisted content workflows so the same output takes less time next month
- Pull the numbers weekly, say what they mean, and bring one thing to change
- Track formats, hooks, sounds, and trends, and bring the two worth trying
- Keep the asset library organized so nobody hunts for a file
$20 to $40 per hour, paid hourly, based on experience

- Strong writing. You can hold a voice across formats and know the difference between a LinkedIn post and an Instagram caption.
- Taste, and the ability to say out loud why something works.
- Genuine interest in AI and what it is doing to how people work.
- Available 10 to 25 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred, not required. A portfolio or links to work you actually made, including personal projects: an account you grew, videos you cut, graphics you designed, a newsletter, a meme page that worked. Also helpful: motion graphics or sound design, podcast production workflow, experience with B2B or enterprise audiences, having grown a social account past a few thousand followers, prior marketing or agency experience of any kind.
